While canvassing for the upcoming local elections the other evening, one of my team mentioned they found an old RTE archives video of me advocating outside the Dáil for Baggot Street Hospital back in 1987, when I was Chairman of the Save Baggot Street Hospital Committee. I am proud to say I’ve been fighting for Baggot Street Hospital for the past 40 years!

I spoke on RTE Six One News this evening about the urgent need to provide adequate accommodation and support for those seeking asylum.
Local communities and businesses shouldn’t have to be affected by this either. There’s a serious lack of leadership on the matter at government level and it’s imperative that a solution is found as soon as possible.
