Re: Green Bin \/ Bag collection<\/strong><\/p>\n Dear Resident,<\/p>\n The following is the text of a motion proposed by Councillor Dermot Lacey and agreed at the Dublin City Council South East Area Committee Meeting held on the 12th January 2009:<\/p>\n “This Committee notes with anger that, up to today (January 12th) the scheduled green bin\/bag collection for St. Broc’s Cottages\/Pembroke Cottages and Home Villas Donnybrook for Christmas week, the additional collection promised to Councillor Dermot Lacey for January 3rd and the special collections promised by the Assistant City Manager at the City Council meeting on January 5th has still not happened.<\/p>\n The Committee now demands:<\/p>\n 1) That these bags be collected forthwith. The City Council regrets the inconvenience caused to residents resulting from the failure of the out-going contactor (Oxigen) to carry out some collections over the Christmas period. As agreed at the City Council meeting arrangements were made to have special collections made where a collection had not taken place. Following discussions with Oxigen they agreed to carry out any missed collections by the end of last week. A list of any areas, known to the City Council, where this had occurred was sent to Oxigen.
