While I am reluctant to put onto a blog precise details as they relate to individual’s private property, I am unhappy, based on information I have received, with the reply and would welcome any comments readers might have.<\/p>\n

Reply<\/strong><\/p>\n
The houses referred to in St. Albans’s park were constructed around 1920 or so.\u00a0 Because of the low-lying nature of the catchment, a back up pumped system was installed in the mid 1960s.<\/p>\n
A pump house was constructed at the junction of St. Alban’s Park and Ailesbury Gardens, which operates when the drainage system is under pressure and discharges water to the beach at Strand Road.\u00a0 This operates on average 4-6 times per year during extreme weather events.\u00a0 The existing pumping regime is deemed to be adequate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
A monthly gully cleaning report is issued to the South East Area office giving details of all gullies cleaned during the month.\u00a0 All gullies are cleaned approximately once per year with some vulnerable areas cleaned up to three to four times per year.\u00a0 The areas referred to will be examined in the coming month or so and any required cleaning work will be carried out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
