This two-year project aims to ensure these beloved structures remain a proud part of our city and I hope they’ll be kept in good condition going forward.
I recently tabled a motion in a meeting of the South East Area Committee asking councillors to revive the historic Sandymount Baths and Pier.
Dublin City Council’s response is pending, but I am pushing for action. This project, alongside improving the old Martello Tower and bathing water quality, is crucial for enhancing Dublin Bay’s potential. All ideas are always welcome.

Interview with Dermot Lacey, Chairman of the Save Baggot Street Hospital Committee, who points out that with the previous closure of three hospitals in the region, seven hundred beds have been lost to residents.”
